ECTROPY: CHAOS TO ORDER

The narrative of ‘ECTROPY’ unfolds as an exploration of existentialism, portraying the journey of a weathered artist grappling with fear of creation as he attempts to find his purpose. This tale serves as a metaphor for the emotional tribulations stemming from self-inflicted challenges. As our life’s chapters approachtheir conclusion, an internal struggle ensues, marked by perpetual contemplation of the narrowing paths before us. It is the hesitation, fear of failure, and the looming uncertainty that immobilize us, hindering the realization of our true potential. However, deep down our inner child fight to reemerge to explore the carelessness of creative exploration without regard for failure and mortality. Visually, the film portrays chaos in its most primal form, initiating with the cosmic spectacle of the big bang and vivid clusters of rapidly moving particles, mirroring the swift flow of information within our minds. The protagonist finds himself confined within a metaphorical “cave,” representing the complexities ofthe human psyche.

Embarking on the daunting journey of instilling order into the chaotic realm of his thoughts, the artist encounters an unlikely ally in Mother Nature, embodied as a child. Together, they navigate the intricate task of overcoming the fear of failure and uncertainty. It is through this transformative process that the protagonist learns to relinquish control and, in doing so, creates a vibrant canvas teeming with life and beauty.

creation begins where destruction ends.

Creation”, an experimental art film, tells the story of an artist from another realm compelled to create two magnificent figurative sculptures in an otherwise barren world. The film, conceived by renowned Master Artist Sir Daniel Winn, visualizes the process of creation through the process of creating and casting sculpture. The film, a metaphor for the creative process, examines the forces that compel creatives of all types to create. The sculptures featured in the film are the lifesize “Quantum Mechanics: Femme” and “Quantum Mechanics: Homme” sculptures from Winn’s “Dark Matter” series. Realized from clay compositions through the millennia-old lost wax process into Lucite, stainless steel, and bronze, the scultures represent an innovation in figurative sculpture.
