As a child refugee to the United States from Vietnam, Winn excelled in academics while helping his working parents in supporting his younger sibling. He went on to study medicine, but during his study of reconstructive surgery at UCI medical school, he defied tradition and broke from family expectations to pursue a life in the art world. He honed his own skills and developed his artistic philosophy, “Existential Surrealism,” while also working with several talented artists, elevating them to blue-chip museum caliber. Winn’s work has since been featured at esteemed exhibitions worldwide.
